Safety performance and technological innovation of car rearview mirrors
Sep 22,2025
Safety is the core value of car rearview mirrors. The blind spot monitoring system serves as a crucial safety upgrade. When a vehicle from the side or rear enters the blind spot of traditional rearview mirrors (typically within a 3-5 meter range from the side or rear of the vehicle, with an angle of 20°-45°), the LED lights on the edge of the exterior rearview mirror will illuminate to remind the driver to pay attention to lane changing safety. For some models, the blind spot imaging function displays a wide-angle view on the central control screen when the turn signal is activated, expanding the blind spot vision and reducing the occurrence of lane changing accidents. Additionally, the exterior rearview mirror adopts a foldable + collapsible structure. In the event of a collision, the weak link of the mirror bracket breaks, reducing debris splash damage. The electric folding function automatically retracts on narrow roads or when parking, reducing the risk of scratches. The rounded chamfer design on the edge of the mirror also prevents secondary damage during collisions.
